Now a park and recreational area, the Dorris Ranch was the first commercial hazelnut orchard in the U.S. and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The barn near the parking area.
The trail to the left of the barn starts you on the tour loop.

Forest and orchard meet along the road, with lush greenery everywhere.

Mowed meadow on the left, hazelnut orchard on the right.

Beyond the orchard, the trail leads into lush woods, its
greens accented with the scattered color of wildflowers.

Fragile wildflowers in pinks and whites grow beside the trail.
