Backyard Veggies!

Shoot Date: late Ju.y 2009

Artichokes in the rear of the yard

The pretty little blossoms of our pole beans.

And the beans themselves.  This variety (Fasold) produces very long beans.

Jenny's first canning efforts of the season: beets and pickles.  Very pretty!

Little cantaloupes about the size of softballs lay in the warm bed below the
living room window.  They love heat, and they get plenty in this south-facing spot.

A squash blossom brightens the shadows between huge leaves.

Pepperoncinis crowd their little bush like ornaments on a Christmas tree.
